The questions I'm asked most

I hate having my photo taken — is this really for me?

Especially for you. Most of the mums I photograph say exactly this, and walk away amazed. There's no posing and no pressure — just gentle guidance, real moments and warm light. You don't have to be photogenic; you just have to show up.

Outdoors, at home, or in the studio — how do I choose?

We'll decide together based on the vibe you're dreaming of, your little one's age, and the season. At-home is cosy and slow; outdoor sunset sessions are warm and dreamy; the studio is private and weatherproof. A 'split session' gives you the best of both — I'll guide you.

What should we wear?

Once you book, I send a full styling guide and help you plan. In short: soft, warm, earthy tones photograph beautifully in golden light, and comfort always wins. I'm happy to help you pull outfits together that work as a family.

When is the best time for newborn photos?

At-home newborn sessions are loveliest in the first few weeks, while babies are sleepiest and curliest — but don't worry if that window has passed; older babies make beautiful photographs too. Book while pregnant and we'll pencil you in around your due date.

How long until we see our photos?

Your hand-edited gallery arrives within 4–8 weeks. Each image is carefully finished with that warm, sunset-toned look — it takes time, and it's worth it. You'll receive a private online gallery to view, download and share.

Do you cover my area?

I'm based in Billingshurst and cover Sussex-wide, including Horsham, Pulborough and the surrounding towns and villages. If you're a little further afield, just ask — I travel for the right session.

Can the whole extended family come?

Absolutely — grandparents, cousins, the whole beautiful tribe are welcome. Just let me know numbers when you enquire so I can plan the session beautifully.
