I'm Vanessa — a natural-light photographer based in Billingshurst, West Sussex, and a mum of two. I know exactly what it's like to be the one always holding the camera, the one missing from every photo, the one who promises she'll "do a proper shoot once she's lost the baby weight / tidied the house / felt a bit more herself."

I started this business because I believe those years are far too precious — and far too fleeting — to spend entirely behind the lens.

Your children don't see the things you'd change about yourself. They see safety, warmth, home. That's who I photograph.

My Approach

Warm, unhurried, and real

Natural light, always

My style is warm and golden — rich, honeyed tones and soft natural light. Sunset is my favourite time to shoot: that's when everything turns dreamy and my outdoor sessions truly come alive.

A mum who gets it

Feeding breaks, nappy changes, toddler meltdowns, the lot — I've been there, and none of it fazes me. We go at your family's pace, and I look after everything.

No posing, no pressure

I won't bark "say cheese" or force stiff poses. Instead I gently guide you, then let real connection do the rest — the cuddles, the giggles, the in-between moments.
